Sub-processors - Billit Inc.

For the purpose of supporting the provision of our services,  Billit Inc. may engage and utilise data processors who have access to certain Personal Data of Clients (each a ‘Sub-processor’). This page contains important information about the identity, location and role of each Sub-processor.

Third Parties

Billit currently engages external Sub-processors to provide infrastructure and other services and to assist us with client support and the sending of email notifications. Before engaging an external Sub-processor, Billit will carry out thorough checks to evaluate that party’s privacy, security and confidentiality practices and will enter into an agreement setting out the applicable obligations.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Subject, nature and duration of the processing: AWS provides cloud infrastructure and data storage services to support Billit’s platform activities. AWS processes user data strictly during the term of the user’s (or their organisation’s) agreement with Billit.

Belgian Mobile ID

Subject, nature and duration of the processing: Belgian Mobile ID provides digital identity verification services that Billit uses to securely authenticate users. Itsme processes user data strictly for the time necessary to complete the identification and authentication process within the context of the user’s (or their organisation’s) agreement with Billit.

Location (country): Belgium

GoCardless

Subject, nature and duration of the processing: GoCardless provides account information services that Billit uses to retrieve users’ bank account details (such as IBAN and account holder name) for financial and invoicing purposes. GoCardless processes user data strictly for the time necessary to retrieve and forward these account details within the context of the user’s (or their organisation’s) agreement with Billit.

Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited

Subject, nature and duration of the processing:

Microsoft provides productivity, communication and cloud services (such as Microsoft 365 and Azure) that Billit uses to support its internal operations and the functionality of its services. Microsoft processes user data exclusively during the term of the user’s (or their organisation’s) agreement with Billit or to the extent necessary to provide the agreed services.

Mollie

Subject, nature and duration of the processing: Mollie provides services for initiating and processing payments that Billit uses to enable users to make online payments for invoices and services. Mollie processes user data — such as payment identifiers, transaction references and limited payer data — strictly for the time necessary to complete and manage payment transactions within the context of the user’s (or their organisation’s) agreement with Billit.

Stripe

Subject, nature and duration of the processing: Stripe provides payment processing and invoicing infrastructure services that Billit uses to enable online payments, subscription invoicing and invoice collection. Stripe processes user data — including payment method details and transaction metadata — exclusively for the period necessary to perform the payment services within the context of the user’s (or their organisation’s) agreement with Billit.

SAS Livestorm

Subject, nature and duration of the processing: Livestorm provides webinar and virtual event services that Billit uses to organise online meetings, product demonstrations and client training sessions. Livestorm processes user data (such as registration details and participation statistics) strictly for the time necessary to organise and manage these events within the context of the user’s (or their organisation’s) agreement with Billit.

TransIP

Subject, nature and duration of the processing: TransIP provides hosting and infrastructure services to support Billit’s platform activities. TransIP processes user data strictly for the term of the user’s (or their organisation’s) agreement with Billit.

Trade-Van

Trade-Van Information Services Co.

Purpose:

Intermediary recognised by the Taiwanese government that is used for sending and reporting electronic invoice data (eGUI) to the Taiwanese authorities.

Subject, nature and duration of the processing:

Trade-Van acts as a mandatory intermediary for Billit in order to comply with local e-invoicing obligations in Taiwan. It processes transaction data exclusively for the purpose of submission to Taiwanese government systems and only for as long as required by applicable law or during the user’s active service period with Billit.
