Q: Why are there two buttons when registering on Peppol: one for VAT and one for CBE? What is the difference?

A: The difference between VAT and CBE comes from the way companies can register:

• VAT number: This is the number linked to your tax administration. A company can have several CBE numbers linked to one VAT number.
• CBE number: This is the number that refers to your company's registration in the Belgian CBE (Crossroads Bank for Enterprises).
  Since a company may have several CBE numbers under one VAT number, you can create separate registrations for each CBE number.

Note: Keep in mind, however, that in Billit you can only link one CBE number per account.
