The Billit MCP lets you ask your AI assistant questions about your Billit data and get answers grounded in what is actually in your account. Connect Billit to Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or any other MCP-compatible tool, then ask in plain language about invoices, customers, suppliers and Peppol status without switching tabs or exporting reports.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect securely to business tools. Think of it as a universal connector between your AI tool and Billit: you log in with your own Billit account, and the assistant can read only what your role already permits.

What you can do

Today the Billit MCP is read-only: it answers questions about your data but does not create or change documents in Billit.

• Account context: Tell you which companies your login can act for and which one you are working in. On multi-company accounts this sets the context for everything else.
• Sales and purchase documents: Find invoices, credit notes and orders (income and cost). Filter by status, date, paid/unpaid, due date, amount or counterparty. Drill into one document for order lines, VAT breakdown, payment status and Peppol delivery details.
• Customers and suppliers: List and inspect the parties in your account, including addresses, IBAN/BIC, contact details and Peppol identifiers.
• Peppol e-invoicing checks: Check whether a company can receive e-invoices over the Peppol network, which document types it supports and who its service provider is, before you send.
• Company registry lookup: Search the public CBE/KBO registry by name or VAT number to find companies not yet in your account and confirm their official VAT number.

Before you start

You need a Billit login and an AI tool that supports MCP connectors.

• A Billit account. You sign in with your normal Billit login. The assistant sees only the companies and data your user role already has access to. On multi-company accounts, all your companies are connected at once.
• A supported AI tool. Billit MCP works with Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot (via Copilot Studio), and with any other MCP client that supports the Streamable HTTP transport.
• Pilot status. Billit is being published to the connector catalogs of Claude, OpenAI, Gemini and Copilot. The setup steps below may change as those listings go live.
