In Billit, you don't need to close a financial year yourself.
The financial year is always closed by your accountant or in the accounting software you work with.

Your invoices in Billit always remain visible and accessible, even after the end of a financial year.

What does this mean in practice?

You don't need to do anything in Billit.
There is no separate button or function to close a financial year within Billit.

The closing happens externally

Your accountant closes the financial year in:

• The accounting software.
• Or via the official year-end closing in the accounts.

Billit serves as an invoicing platform, not as official accounting software.

Your invoices always remain available

Even after the financial year has been closed:

• All your invoices remain visible in Billit.
• You can keep downloading them (PDF/UBL).
• You can consult them again at any time.

This applies to both sales invoices and purchase invoices.

Good to know

• You don't need to create a new financial year in Billit.
• Your numbering automatically continues according to the number sequence you've set up. If your numbering includes a year, you can change it via settings > numbering.
• Your history is fully preserved.
