To enhance the security of your data, we offer the option to link your Microsoft account to your Billit account. A Microsoft account is the one you use to access many Microsoft devices and services. You can use it to sign in to Skype, Outlook.com, OneDrive, Office, Office 365, and many other Microsoft services. The account ensures secure access to your files, photos, contacts, and settings on all your devices.

In addition, your Microsoft account allows you to enable two-factor authentication. Two-factor authentication enhances the security of your account by making it more challenging for someone else to sign in. It utilizes two different forms of identity: your password and a contact method (also known as security details). Even if someone discovers your password, they cannot do anything without access to your security details. That's why it's important to use different passwords for all your accounts.

You can also use the two-factor authentication provided by Billit. This allows you to secure your account using your own email address as a login.

To link your Billit account to your Microsoft account, click 'Sign in with Microsoft' when logging in to Billit.

On the following screens, you'll need to verify yourself as the owner of the Microsoft account and grant permission to link your Microsoft account to your Billit account. This identification process is a one-time step. After this, you can sign in to Billit using your Microsoft account and utilize the two-factor authentication from your Microsoft account.

Businesses looking to implement these security measures for all their employees can also opt for Single Sign-On (SSO) Lock, allowing users with the company's domain name to sign in only with a Microsoft account. It's even possible to configure that users on their domain can only see the option to sign in with a Microsoft account. For assistance, contact our support. Billit supports both OAuth and OpenID Connect.
