Options for Single Sign On (SSO)

  • How to login using your Apple ID

To further protect your data, we offer the option to link your Apple ID to your Billit account. An Apple ID is the account you use to access many Apple devices and services. You can use it to sign in to the App Store, FaceTime, iCloud, iTunes, and many other services. The account ensures secure access to your files, photos, contacts, and settings on all your devices.

In addition, your Apple ID allows you to enable two-factor authentication. Two-factor authentication enhances the security of your account by making it more challenging for someone else to sign in. It utilizes two different forms of identity: your password and a contact method (also known as security details). Even if someone else discovers your password, they cannot do anything without access to your security details. That's why it's important to use different passwords for all your accounts.

You can also use the two-factor authentication provided by Billit. This allows you to secure your account using your own email address as a login.

To link your Billit account to your Apple ID, click 'Sign in with Apple' when logging in to Billit.

On the following screens, you'll need to verify yourself as the owner of the Apple ID and grant permission to link your ID to your Billit account. This identification process is a one-time step. After this, you can sign in to Billit using your Apple ID and utilize the two-factor authentication.

Businesses looking to implement these security measures for all their employees can also opt for Single Sign-On (SSO) Lock, allowing users with the company's domain name to sign in only with an Apple ID. It's even possible to configure users on their domain to see only the option to sign in with an Apple ID. For assistance, contact our support. Billit supports both OAuth and OpenID Connect.
