To use Billit securely, we ask you to verify the identity of the company’s legal representative. This is required to gain access to secure e-invoicing networks such as Peppol, to protect your account, and to ensure optimal customer support.

If you have a non-Belgian company, the verified identity must be manually reviewed by our Compliance team to confirm that it belongs to a legal representative.

In that case, please first complete the identity verification via “Verify identity” in the blue box on the dashboard.

After that, submit the documents proving that you are the legal representative of your company via the help button.

• On the first screen, select the category “Verification”.
• On the next screen, enter the title: “Verification of legal representative”.

Clearly describe the situation and add the documents listed below, so that we can manually carry out the verification and link it to the correct user:

• Required supporting documents:
  • (If the identity has not yet been verified) A copy of a valid identity document
    (for example, a clearly legible copy of the identity card or passport)
  • Proof of the company’s registration in an official business register
    (for example, an extract from the commercial register or the articles of association)
  • An official and signed company document proving that you are a legal representative of the company

Important

After receipt of the complete documents, this verification process may take several days.

Don’t forget to complete your Peppol registration after the identity verification via My company > E-invoicing > Register with Peppol.
